Suzy Carnachan, photography e-teacher at Orewa College, shares some of her online students’ most recent NCEA work.
“Ākonga in our Level 2 Photography course have just completed their first photography shoot for the year with exceptional photographs being presented.
Ākonga studied the work of an Aotearoa wahine Dr Fiona Pardington (Ngāi Tahu/Kāi Tahu/Kāti Māmoe/Ngāti Kahungunu/Clan Cameron of Erracht/Scotland) whose work explores creating modern day Vanitas.
These still life photographs are heavy in symbolism and ākonga responded to her work producing photographs that were symbolic, based on the theme of their choice.” Suzy Carnachan, e-teacher
