Join Secondary
Becoming a member of Kōtui Ako VLN Secondary involves a financial commitment and resourcing provision each year. In return the school has the opportunity to gain access to all of the programmes that Kōtui Ako has to offer.
Membership Costs
Membership 0.08 FTTE + $2000 (+ GST)
Resourcing Provision
A teacher (an e-teacher) to deliver one secondary course online; 4-5 hrs per week, or the staffing equivalent (0.2 FTTE).
A person/teacher to provide the pastoral support for their students studying online (1-2 hrs/week), and the key liaison between the school and the Kōtui Ako Secondary team, (an e-dean)
A Financial Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) is required so that the school understands their partnership obligations and to confirm the necessary staffing and funding to be transferred to Kōtui Ako. Once this is in place, the school becomes part of Kōtui Ako VLN – Secondary collective.
The Secondary Leadership team (SLT) liaise with the e-dean to process enrolments for the school, so we can place students in classes. The e-teacher provided by the school is closely guided in the development of their online teaching practice by our SLT. Professional advice and guidance, for both the e-dean and e-teacher, is ongoing throughout the year.
