Kōtui Ako VLN and the Ministry of Education recently attended Te Hapori Matihiko awards to celebrate Māori excellence in the digital and technology sector and to honour Tewaiehu Savage, our Kaiārahi Mātauranga Māori, who was a finalist in the Rangitiratanga Award.
Tewaiehu was nominated for her professional leadership, curriculum development and digital skills, and influence and impact in guiding the Kōtui Ako VLN waka. Although not coming out a winner on the night, she was humble to be counted amongst those who are making a difference as Māori leaders.
